Leaky Car :(

I have today discovered that our Tuscan behaves like a sieve when left out in the rain...

anybody know an effective way to dry the carpets considering the likely absence of warm sunshine over the next few days?

(apart from setting the car on fire! )

PS: Taking the T350C out for a couple of days tomorrow, first time I would've driven it for about a month, so should be fun!)

I put one of those small electric heaters with a thermostatic cut out on an extension lead in my Chimaera and left the window down a tad and just let it run ... then I stopped it leaking!

Similarly, I solved damp carpets in my Chim by putting both windows right down and running a standard fan heater in the cabin for a few hours. Then I waterproofed the hood...

Oh, and I used a cloth to soak up as much as I could first. It's a very good incentive to make it watertight...

I have used one of those 3 foot tubular heaters you can buy to provide low levels of heat to cupboards (they're about 50 W or so).... remove the carpets, slide the heater under the car and leave it on for a few hours with the wondows open, then move it to the other side - repeat as necessary!
Meanwhile, dry the carpets (flat) indoors - do not use a hairdryer in case they shrink.
Although I have seen a dealer drying out a brand new Tamora with an industrial fan heater !
