Hi chaps,

The carpets in my boot are out while the Griff has some repair work done, and I'm not putting these crappy things back in, even if they didn't have holes where the tank straps are they are probably original and looking quite tired now.

Has anybody replaced their grey boot carpets?

Where did you get the carpet from?
Did you get it as a kit or just carpet and trim and DIY or Trimmer?

I think number 4 on Here looks about right, but I think I'd have a bit spare if the rolls are 30mtr !

Has anybody put coloured carpet in the boot - or at least a similar match? I'd be interested in photos.

I can't find anything about replacing carpets on here already, which surprises me.

Ian I'd suggest you call D&C Trim in Blackpool, they'll give you a decent price for making some up.

I've just had my Chimaera recarpeted. I wanted the boot doing in the same carpet with the same magnolia piping. I had it done professionally. The guy doing it said I was mad but afterwards, in my eyes, it looks stunning. He even made proper lens covers out of leather with the piping. I dont know how to post pics on here but can pm some to you if you like. Well worth doing in my opinion.

Thanks for posting them for me Rob, the pics are only off phone so don't really do them much justice. Much better in the flesh. Much better than the old grey cr@p.

Look good, you just wouldn't carry a bag of cement in there from the builders merchants now biggrin

Surpising how much better just clean carpets look, also had the cabin carpets cleaned by a valeter when I dod the rebuild, was going to replace them but they came up so well.
