Basically, I moved out of my shared uni house a few weeks ago. My ex-housemate reckons I have one of his glasses (I took 4 to the house, and I took 4 away). So basically he has been telling me to give it back in a threatening way.
Last week or so he pushed me in the university computer room and threatened to start a fight. He then said I had to give him 3 glasses as he is charging interest.
Today he started on me again and said I now have to give him £20 else he will 'kick the censored: out of me and push me into the lake'. He then hit me a couple of times. Now, I am in no way going to hit him either inside or outside the university, I don't want to put my degree at risk or risk being charged with assault.
I have a witness (although quite a few people saw it). I am planning on reporting it to the university and possible police tomorrow as its not on. I told him I would do this, and he has texted back saying he has a witness who says he didnt do anything. This is obviously a lie but one of his friends did see it and would no doubt testify for him. I'm fairly sure there aren't any CCTV cameras around either.
I also have many texts where he has threatened me. I'm hoping the uni can kick him off the course for attacking another student on campus. Is there any point in going to the police?

introduce him to the rugby squad they will take him on a hazing that makes beating 7 shades of s
t of someone seem tame.....
seriously tho, do you actually have bruises, etc? I would get the cctv and take that to the police and also ask him why hes being a prick about it (unless you did smash one of his glasses).....
Na, f
k that, just play the bigger mates game and get him beaten up for hitting you, always much more fun....

Yes,
I think he has broken a number of laws here........
Obviously assault; include also blackmail re the glasses (asking for 3 back).
I would report it to the police as well as your uni authorities. At least get it all on file; I doubt he will bother you again as a result of his actions being recorded by the powers that be. Not over a glass suely?
Other than that, arrange to meet him and introduce him to Mr. Baseball-Bat.......some people only respond to a show of force, sadly.
Bad luck by the way.

Aren't children encouraged to go and see the Head Teacher if they're being bullied at school?

just get a cheapo glass from the pound shop, walk up to him and say "heres your FU**ing glass" and throw it at his face, while he is picking his teeth up, push him over, rip his trousers off him, and shoes, and leave him in the middle of the park where you said you would meet him.

The police and the uni will be interested, especially if you tell the uni that the police are involved. They will do something, even if its just 'having a word' with him.
In the meantime do not contact or respond to him, and keep whatever texts you have.
You are? You're all really serious about going to the police over a bit of a spat over a glass arn't you?
Really?
I honestly can not believe that you would walk into a police station, as a grown man, and say "my mate hit me and says I have to give him £20 for a glass or he'll push me in the lake?"
