Looking at my wedge from the rear, the n/s back wheel sticks out of the wheel arch more than the o/s.
Any ideas??

Not a clue !

But I (my car) has had that problem for years, good talking point when people look at the car.

Fractured diff carrier beam. On both sides in my case; Thorpy said that he'd never seen anything like it, lol.

On mine the fibreglass is in disrepair where it is bolted to the chassis. One side was lower than the other. I will be having body-off repairs in a few weeks.

I was told not to measure suspension from the body, because they move/ don't get put on staight etc, but from a fixed chassis point. Might be worth measuring each side from a fixed point, then you'll know if the body has shifted, or if its suspension related.

Over time the packing between the body and the chassis perishes and the body can get a bit loose. Mine was lower on one side so I packed it out a bit. The bolt heads are in the boot somewhere under the carpet and it's possible to undo them single handedly but much easier with two peeps, one underneath and one in the boot.

hehe I can just imagine you asking some unsuspecting passerby to climb into your boot, closely followed by you asking them 'Does this rag smell of chloroform to you...?'... wink

Thanks for all your posts chaps, I think its body movement as well, its just nice to hear it from others. I wonder, if i go round a right-hander fast enough will shift the body back over ?!?!?

Mines offset slightly also. not seen many that are 100% the same both sides.
Plus mine's been like it since I bought it 15 years ago when it had 25K on the clock. so don't think anything is broken.

Mine (now B@man's) was like that too. Was told that it was quite common and nothing to worry about.
