Anyone know........

It may be a a Zender spoiler but it's not the 'usual' Zender found on Wedges. That looks somehow... Japified... maybe a later variety?
The original Zender was a squidgy foam thing. I was told many moons ago that it was only around for a short while so someone made a mould and produced GRP copies: they must weigh a ton!

That looks very similar to the one on my car, which is the same as the one on the car at Douglas Valley. Only difference is there doesn't appear to be a gap between the bootlid and spoiler. Mine was definitely Zender. If you looked very carefully you could see the outline of the Zender logo that had been filled in prior to painting.
Damn, I forgot, it's not my car anymore, I sold it last night. I'm still weepy, but I need the cash for daughter's wedding.

The top profile looks identical to the Zender spoiler fitted to my 350. Mine differs by only having three points where it contacts the boot lid instead of being moulded in. My Zender is definitely of the squidgy persuasion.
Does anyone know if these were ever factory fit, dealer options or purely after market?

My 390SE originally had one when Malcolm Griffin owned it. Someone's taken it off. To be honest, I quite like it sans spoiler. I toyed with the idea of fitting the droopy one, but would rather keep it as is.
Besides, it'd be more weight!

Agreed Ed, My 390SE had had the 400SE style retrofitted by a previous owner, but I once saw\a 390 for sale on e-bay, without a spoiler and I had a eureka moment , so off I came! and I filled in the two holes. besides ,it ued to catch on the stupid electric ariel(or is it Aerial?) which is ridiculously tall, looks like it should have a sail! might swap it for a 400SE stylee...
Hi All,
I've been lurking as a non member for a while and have recently been wondering what had happened to one of my cars. I then found this thread with reference to F370 WFA so haved joined up to reply really. Bit of a resurrection i know. I owned this wedge at the end of the 90's through to the early 00's for 4-5 years. I have an old pic in my garage if anyone is interested. I have also checked on DirectGov and it appears to still be on the road.
As I recall, was definately a money pit, exhaust manifold on one side, outriggers, headlamp mechanism (both sides), Rear wheel fell off, my own fault as I didn't put the split pin back in properly after looking at what would be involved in tightening up that corner due to bearing wear or something?? (can't quite remember that problem in detail). I think every bill i had for it was the best part of 4 figures. Used to use the old boys over in Sutton (Hillside Motors I think).
