Is the handbrake on the Gallardo supposed to be really poor? I have a 2007 manual and the handbrake is so poor it wont hold on a hill and I end up leaving it in gear when parked. I assume the e-gear does not need a decent handbrake but wondered if "they are all like that sir"?

Yep that is my experience. If you really pull the lever up to max it just about holds but pretty pathetic. Still I guess I didn't buy it for its ability to remain stationary!! Thanks for comments. I assume it is capable of being adjusted?

Mine was definitely improved after its last service; I get the feeling the cable stretches quite quickly through use. I've been in the habit of leaving it in gear while parked instead now and it seems to be much better.

You have to pull it really high, mine crept out of a space last week!

Many thanks. I will try getting it adjusted/replaced as it really does need pulling to the extremety of travel and even then barely holds the car.
