Do people still double the cluth?
I have an e92 and was told i should learn how to, whats the advantage? And is it necessary in modern cars?

I do when the oil is cold but not absolutely necessary.

Do you mean double declutching?

No need to do it on a modern car unless your synchromesh is on the way out.

I do, out of habit, just makes things smoother & easier on transmission.

What they probably meant was that you should have bought the excellent double clutch 'box instead of a manual wink

hehe maybe, but having had the SMG previously, i thought i would go for the mans option this time...
