Posting in here as I hope lowdrag may look in.

Ordered a transponder a while back and gave them my Credit Card details - however, I can't remember which card details I gave them at time of application - and have just shut down the accounts of 2 old cards that I rarely used.

I can't find the paperwork that Sanef sent me, so is there a way to log on and find out what card details they hold for me?

Did have a look round the website but my French is somewhat rusty.

Using your customer number you can view your payment details online.
Not the greatest understanding of french is required to understand it luckily..

Am I right in thinking they bill you retrospectively?

If so fill your boots for Le Mans and I am sure they will let you know which card has bounced when they try and bill you.

When I changed my credit card a while ago, they somehow knew that the old card was no longer valid and contacted me for new card details.

YHM Pincher. As regards being debited later, it works like any credit card but cancelling you card won't stop you being debited.

I'm supposed to be ordering one of these so I can keep up with the rest of Team Peach Melba (that would make a change!)
Can someone point me in the right direction for getting one.

Be aware that there is a monthly charge now of £2 per month at the current exchange rate. They take a deposit off you of 30€ and charge you 5€ for postage. Still want to go ahead? Then go here:-

https://www.sanef.com/fr/ecommerce/particulier/lib...

You start with "cordonnées personelles" and move on to bank account details and so on.

Perhaps it might be just as well to pay the first round for being the last to arrive? Might prove cheaper! I have one because I live at Le Mans and it saves a load of hassle, especially when wearing racing harness in a RHD car but if you are only visiting France once a year perhaps not worth it.

I was under the impression that they only charge you the 2 Euro's in the months that you actually use it though?

You are only debitied in the month you use it, not a monthly standing charge. Hope this clears it up. And being France, it is euros although they are the same thing now since dear Gordon destroyed our currency

Well, I managed to find that I have the correct CC details on their system. Bit disappointed really rolleyes

Been looking at the best way to attach it this afternoon in preparation for a couple of t/d's next weekend. Will the transponder signal get through an opaque black sunstrip, that has some cutout writing on it? Like this

Why attach it? I have the w/s holder in the everyday car behind the tinted band in front of the rear view mirror but I keep it in my pocket and hand hold it with the rest of the cars. The signal isn't that strong so it will be a case of suck it and see I reckon.

Cheers lowrag - I think I'll try and put it somewhere unobtrusive and if it doesn't work, take the roof off and just wave it in the air! biggrin

Can confirm that it works when wedged by the drivers side A-pillar, just behind the TomTom biggrin

A nice satisfying beep when at the barrier!
