XK8 Front tyres

I've got to change the front Pirelli P Zeros on my 97XK, they are 245/45 R18s ATM, but I have an option on a pair of new Goodyear Eagle F1s 245/40 R18 at a great price from a mate.
The tyre manufacture is not important, I'm intrested in if anyone has fitted 40 profile tyres on a XK8 and if they will look odd. They should make the front sit 2mm lower at my rough calculation which doesn't sound bad.

Static rolling radius is down by 10 mm. Relative comfort index falls from 6.1/10 to 4.2/10.
The F1 is a good tyre - Mrs JS has them on her Pug GTI. Immense grip and fairly quiet but rapid wear rates.
Have a look at Groomi's tyre wiki in General Gassing. Pneues online has a massive database of tyre feedback from customers, there's also lots of info on Black Circles. Falkens seem to be the tyre of choice at the moment. I've just bought a set of 912's after an avalance of positive feedback from other PH'ers and am delighted with them. Amazing value too from Camskill.

I went for the Falkens, £96 each, spot on. Passed the MOT today with the usual 'no problems', I've had the XK for 5 years now and it has been great.... compaired to my Dads Rangie which is three years younger!
One of the Pirelli P-Zeros 245/45/18 has an even 5mm of tread so I kept it when I had the Falkens fitted. If anyone is intrested in it for £30 let me know.
