The Godfather - Part 3

Had a couple of days off work this week, so thought I'd get through the Godfather trilogy again.

1 & 2 are superb, I really enjoyed watching them again.

But 3??? This is the 2nd time I've tried watching it and on neither occassion have i managed to get past the hour mark - given the woeful quality up to that point.

Is it just me?? Is it worth me trying to break through the 1 hour mark??

Being a fan of 1 and 2 i hated 3 with a vengence when i saw it in the theater but ,after recently being given the God Father box set as a present and revisiting 3 im not so sure if i do hate it as much as i did

Trouble is 1 and 2 are master pieces but 3 shows how they have drifted away from their roots , i thought it was just because he could not capture the Italian imigrant feel , but i think he deliberatly did not capture that as he had in 1 and 2 to show how they had lost their roots does that make sence , no thought not

I liked 3 for some reason. The other 2 are different films set in different times.

I don't think it's nearly as bad as people make out.
Yes it isn't as good as the first two, but it would blow most films of the last 10years out of the water!
As a trilogy, the films are superb.
Cinematic masterpieces(pi? )!

In comparison to the first two its ok. But if you compare it to similar 70's mafia greats of which there is many, it is pretty darn good! It's just the first two were VERY good I thought 3 was a lot more predicatable
