The ally rads do tend to have a better core, so, if needed that would be the route I'd go. But if you do want to get a recore then look up Serck Marston, I used to use them in C'bury, but I believe they've closed that branch. frown

BTW: Hi from another Ashford resident, or more accurately one of the villages just outside Ashford. wavey

I can whole heartedly recommend Kempston Rads. I have used them twice and been happy on both occasions.

A well timed post as i think i may have a small leak on my rad too.

What is the rad off, or is it a custom built one?

It's a modified Range Rover unit, and as such is bespoke. But being a Rangie core it's easy to have recored.

I had mine recored at the Serck place at Aylesford back in September 2007, cost about £220, was done quickly and has been fine so far. They said they did work for Walldonway so were familiar with TVR requirements.

I recon he is. Thats what mine cost from Kempston Rads too.
I have also used Feltham Rads when I bought a new AC condensor/rad. Decent bunch of blokes there. Both come recommended. Take your pick smile

My main rad was a recore from Kempston. My condensor was new from Feltham.

A recore is as good as a new one if the company who does it pays attention to finishing the outer casing, etc. Which Kempston Rads have done on both occasions.
I can't speak for Feltham Rads recores, as I hav'nt had one recored by them. Only new.
