T350 brace for safety harness

I am going to have a brace made from stainless steel tubing to go between both top fixings for existing seat belts. Into the tubing I will fit four bosses to accept two safety harnesses. As a 4 point harness that will fit the bill along with existing floor mounts. I hate the fiddly seat belt devices and want that bit more security in my T350T. Would anyone else be interesetd in having one manufactured at the same time. I live in SW Scotland and have a good fab shop to hand who made me several balconies in stainless, good quality work. They could of course be covered in leather to match the car.I am sure if I had a few made the price would reduce. They could be collected or freighted fairly cheaply. Anyone interested please let me know. Donald

I'd be intrested. Thats 3 already. Wondering how hard they would be to fit and what they would look like as dont want to have them looking a mess in the back? (no offence i'm sure you know what your doing).

What a quick response. I will guarantuee it will be in keeping with the car. My balconies cost £7500 so I was adamant they were of the top level of workmanship. I would make a prototype and ensure it would fit. The saving grace is that it can be leather covered like the roll bar at the side. I am overseas just now but will go to the factory in a week or so when I get home and we can make a template from my T350.

Good, this is gathering apace! I have since been in contact with Graham about specification for the brace. For safetys sake I have decided to use a specialist roll cage manufacturer. Had a response from Rollcentre who will need a car to measure from. I am sure someone will be near them. Will keep you informed. Rollcentre can paint black.

I still would like it to be stainless or properly powder coated and then leather covered.
There would be studs for driver and passenger harnesses.

Didn't realise had to change seats to... hmmm.... sounds expensive now because i would have to get some that matched the interior and that or get some re-trimmed. Anyone got an idea on prices yet?

I have a cunning plan! It seems to me that if you could get hold of the surrounds for the cut-outs, and you were brave enough to hack your seats around, you could make appropriate holes in the seat and the upholstery and then make good with the surrounds.

The intention is to use the existing seats or the whole thing becomes very expensive, I like the seats. Give me time and I will use Graham Vs information in the workshop manual. I am away from home for a week or so still. In my own instance I would only do it if I could keep my seats, I am not easily beaten, not so far anyway. Keep the faith. Does anyone with a T350 live anywhere near Rollcentre?
