1978 S2 needs good Long Island, NY mechanic

have a '78 S2 with 36k orig miles. Experiencing the usual... slave cylinder problem, leaky cam covers, carb tuning, etc. Anyone have a good reference on Long Island, NY who is a good jack of all trades? I just want to give it to him and get it back without a new mortgage.

Hey sailord, Im on the island and no i dont work there and have no connections with them but have heard nothing but good comments about them. They work on all high line cars and they should know about your Lotus to. As i have heard people take there cars to them as well besides ferrari, lambo, aston martins, etc. They just moved to a new facility in Huntington. You should check them out. Autosport Designs

How about Ralph Stelchow from RS Motorsports. Heres more near the tappan zee bridge though

Sportique motors used to be located on Rte 25 (Jericho tpk)In Huntington Station. They may have changed their name though it has been a long time since I was there. The did work on and sell Lotus at the time.They worked on my TR7 for me at the time and my Jaguar.
