Sad news, Bertie, my daughters Rover 100 (1.1) has failed its MOT, and I think its beyond economical repair. The sad thing is that the engine/gearbox is a peach, and its only done 53k miles! It drives really nicely!
So, what does the Midland PH massive think we sould do with Bertie? All suggestions considered. hehe

hook it up to a 4x4 and roll it over biggrin just get loads of filler and get it through the MOT then add an ironing board, a wooden front splitter, strip the interior out and stick some buckets in to gain that bucket seat people pay hundreds for and go racing down POD lol

Hi there,

God, got a fright there for a minute.
There is a member of Pistonheads called 'Bertie' who posts regularly in the Ferrari, Maserati and Lambo section as he owns a Gallardo Spider amongst other things. He lives in the Midlands and I thought you were referring to him.

Panic over.

Regards

Tim

mostly mechanical - rear trailing arms, rear brakes, pump up suspension.
There a wee bit of welding, but not much really

Oh, and he needs an exhaust - sounds wicked at the moment though! hehe

Caller: Can I have an ambulance please? I think Bertie's dead, he's not moving and making some very weird noises.

999: Are you sure he's dead?

  • sound of gunshot*
Caller: Yes, he's dead.

Thanks, the 355 went back in about 2000 to make way for the Tuscan, then the 360....etc
