New plugs

Thought I would change the spark plugs as it is jerky at low revs but is fine when you get going and thought that a good place to start, anyone recommend any particular make etc etc

I changed my plugs as the car was mis-firing a bit, and it now runs sweet as! I just put in a set of motorcraft platinum plugs, standard plugs as far as i know?

If you still want some, type this item number 150330691064 into ebay. £30 plus p+p a set of six, not sure if that's a good price or not? But i'm sure it's better than a dealer.

Got the NGK as suggested by Skip not bad, 26 quid for the 6 of them, dont think it has solved the prob completely but we will gradually work our way through things, its only round town it gets lumpy so not too bad if we are out of town

Just changed to NGK Laser Iridium Premium (with flashing lights and bells!!!) ITR6F13, runs nice ans sweet.

Dont forget to gap the plugs down to 38 or 35 thou!!! for even better running

I was advised that they should be left as they were, basically the 13 at the end of the part number meaning 1.3 mm any comments

Does the gap make a big difference? I set mine to 39 thou, i think the ones i removed were about 10mm. Would i be better off setting it to 35 then?

Had a service a few weeks ago I put the plugs in with a standard gap and the car poped and banged on tick over once warm. The car now runs as smooth as silk with a 35 thoi gap
