Tag Heuer repair cost

I've just sent my Tag Heuer 6000 Chronograph to LVMH to be serviced / repaired after getting water behind the glass (by wearing it in a hot tub) and received a quote of £500 to get it going again. They have said that the movement and black dial needs to be replaced (both costing circa £200 each).

I am a bit cheesed off to say the least and am after opinions whether or not I get it repaired, or bite the bullet and buy new.

I've had the watch for about 10 years and do like it.
