Local Tesco every Friday lunchtime, can never get parking space, have to cruise round until someone comes out of one, shop packed with scrotey looking types with trolleys full to the top (god knows how much that must cost as my weekly shop is £70 with about a quarter of what some have), every till open with at least 4 - 5 queueing at each one.

Is there something I don't know about?

Your dole day depends on your national insurance number.

In a similar vein, is pension day Thursday? I find there are inordinate quantities of old biddies dithering about on a Thursday lunchtime.

Not limited to Thursdays, no.

Maybe the "biddies" being out in force harks back to the days of 1/2 day closing and Thursday wasn't one of them?

A lot of small market towns hold/held their markets on Thursdays too. Could that bear any relation to the people present?

What are you doing in Tesco's every Friday afternoon?

Is it dole day?

No, I'm trying to get a fking sandwich in the measly 1/2hr lunch break I get, but struggle due to a load of scrotey looking tracksuited/designer t-shirted, fag smoking, Chelsey/Britney in buggy pushing aholes who deem Friday lunchtime to be the ideal time to stock up for the feeding of the five fking thousand and I was just wondering if these exhibits of pond life get their "wages" on said day.

OK? irked

Take pre made sandwiches from home. We'll call it a "packed lunch" for the purposes of this discussion. smile

Yip - I sign-on on Mondays every other week, get my cash the following Thursday. Friend of mine signs on Tuesdays, gets her cash Fridays.

Which reminds me, I need to fill in my little book to tell them I've got a job starting next week \o/

Thursday & Monday are the days the majority of pensioners are paid their Pensions.
