OK, so perhaps we expect the youth of today to abbreviate some words to "text speak" and to perhaps struggle with aspects of English grammar given the way it's now taught.

However the Ebay listing for this Herald left me shocked !

ebay Herald

or item number 180333662573

Car itself looks like a nice little project and I'd be tempted if it was local but how do you communicate with a seller like that!

I like the "selling it on behalf of Grandad" excuse for having no keys or paperwork!

More like "I broke into this old garage and found a car so I decided to sell it on ebay"

Wonder what the reserve is. Terrible condition, non runner hasn't moved for twenty years, no docs or keys.

Talk about unrealistic expectations

[quote]I am selling this for my Grandad so I know nothing about it. There are no documents or keys to this car due to it's age, so you would have to send away for the V5, and re-key the locks if you were going to put it back on the road.
You will need a car transporter or a car trailer to pick the car up as I am unable to start it due to not having the keys. The paint work doesn't look to bad, if you gave it a good polish it may be still great, I am not to sure.
It has been standing for about 20 years so has been there longer then I have been on this earth lol!
I am unable to move it at the moment as all the tires are flat and I can't be sure but the brakes may be corroded to the wheels but I reckon if you got a car to pull it out it should come. It has been in the garage as I said for some time there doesn't seem to be much rust either.
I really couldn't say what was wrong with it, if any thing as it was going when my Grandad parked it in there. I am 99% sure every thing that belongs to the car is still attached and there is not anything missing but I could be mistaken this.
It would be a great restoration project or doner car. I need the space!
Oh yeah I have been told to say that the car is a 13/60 or some thing like that, it might mean more to you. If you are interested i do recommend you come down and have a look first as I would be interested to try and get out out this garage. Sorry the pictures aren't that good as I haven't got a very good camera. My number, in case there is anything you want to ask (I don't know how much i could answer but I will try my best), is 07716518411.
It is advertised elsewhere, so may be removed at any time.

I sent the seller the following message...

"Seeing as I can't understand a word of your auction, can you please clarify what you are selling? Is it the shopping bicycle or the blue plastic milk crate?"

That cannot be genuine!

I reckon a PHer has concocted this to wind everyone here up.....I've always had a sneaky suspicion that the PH grammar police are the types to be trawling Ebay for a Herald (especially one in a shed!)! biggrin

It's either that or the yoof of today are really that ill educated!

Always wanted to see a pic of a Maron coloured car!

My Mother had a 13/60 I think - it's the one with a (fabric) sunshine roof isn't it?

@Cyberprog - so that's what he was trying to say! wink

That and bothering to do anything properly...

If he had bothered to actually put some effort into this he would have found that "f7" does a spell check in word or outlook... It's not difficult.
