No problem with them IDing, it's a pita but a fact of life today.

That she doesn't accept something which is considered category A ID (and which does have your DOB on it!) suggests she is in need of retraining

Maybe she was just testing the validity of the ID.

You'd be amazed at the number of kids who will get hold of ID without knowing how old they should be from the DOB on the card.

She did accept it off that , i was just saying it as if to say to her " look driving licence you have to be over 17 or over to have one"

yes it does, And I still get ID'd for drink and rarly fags sometimes, and im 22

with a full on beard, you dont often get people under 18 with a full beardy beard do you?

I doubt bin laden gets IDed for lottery tickets so I don't see the issue.

3 acceptable forms of ID, drivers licence (with photo), "prove it" photo type card with "PASS" hologram, and a passport. The cashier is under no obligation to sell you anything, blame the government for making retailers so fearful of losing their licenses and cashiers liable for dismissal and draconian fines for selling fags and booze that some non underage folk are caught in the cross fire.

I'm 27 & am 6'7" yet I occasionally get I'd for booze, usually this is by some yoof in Waitrose. It's quite clear I'm not 17 FFS. Still no point getting all upset by it.

I dont get it, why the hell do folk get pissed off that some (quite often young female) at a till thinks they might be under 21 years old? I love getting asked for ID!

I've been I'D a couple of times. Once I didn't have any, but my daughter did (she was 18) and that caused some tittering

Mate of mine tried to obtain membership at a video shop years ago. They wanted three IDs. Sadly he only had his driving licence and warrant card. Not good enough!
