I've seen that one before over in Welwyn GC. (Either that or there are two extremely successful taxi firms about!)

Also seen an M5 taxi in WGC, being driven by a little old Indian woman. Bizarre.

You'd think that at the moment taxis would be struggling to make ends meet and be chopping in the Mercs for a nice old £50 Sierra or something but apparently not?

Plenty of nice Beemers, Audis and Mercs used as Taxis in Leeds. Guess when you don't pay for insurance you can run one as a cab!

Saw a moody looking black 740i on big rims etc at Geneva airport earlier this week.

Not a patch on that RS4 though, what a great taxi!

There is not much chance of a 'licenced' cab running with no insurance! That's jail time if caught. Its actually cost effective to run a bigger car as they are cheaper to buy than your normal 'minicab' shed.

Be surprised if it was a RS4 though, 1.9TDI rebadged I would guess.

There was a Subaru Impreza Sti round my way not too long ago... or so I thought. N/A Subaru Impreza with the scoop, wheels, spoiler etc. Seen a couple of Citroen C5's as taxis in the estate form, not exactly exotic but its not often a big citroen is a taxi, its the usual VW/Skoda/Ford around here with the occasional old mercedes.

Best taxi I've ever been in was a Lincoln towncar (I think, I was only 4-5) when I lived in Qatar, they had the best air conditioning ever. I mean sub-zero, it was fantastic! No furry dash or tissue box here, quite classy infact.

There's a Focus running about here, looks like an ST, don't know if it is one, or just a lookalike...

Some of the taxi's in Monaco are crazy, saw a very mean looking Impreza turbo absolutely fly past me when I was there last, rally mudflaps, dustbin exhaust, rally slag wheels, the lot...

Found here, it's real:

Plate check says it's an RS4 too... I have no idea how that makes any money save that the guy has a regular job and uses whatever taxi income he can get to offset the cost of having a £50k car. Most of us just get depreciation to do that work for us...

yikes certainly makes a change from the Octavia SDi's we have round here!!! How would you offset the fuel/maintenance costs against your fairs?

I thought the point of this was to avoid paying the Congestion Charge and to be allowed to use buslanes etc? I'd bet a pound to a penny that he's never had a 'genuine' fare in it.
