Hi, I have had my M3 E46 SMG for nearly 3 years and never had an issue with it, but recently when I upshift on the paddle it occasionally does not change gear !!!
Has anybody else expirienced this before or is it a common, I thought it had a double link signal so it could not fail, or could it be a dirty contact on the paddle?
If anybody else has had this issue could you please advise me.
Really appriciate it, many thanks.

I don't have an E46 M3, but I often browse the E46 sections of the forums I go on and have certainly read about other people having this problem.
Some seem to have cured it by carefully spraying WD40 into the switch, but failing that I assume you can just replace the actual switch itself.
I assume it only does it on the paddles, and not when you use the gear lever?
