Organising Stag Do + Birthday In Oxford - Help Please!!
Discussion
Hi All,
Just a quick note.
I have an upcoming Stag Do and Birthday celebration weekend to attend at the end of March. We will be around Oxford for the weekend and having not been out there before, I ask for some help in planning where to go and where to avoid.
The party is made up of 18 people from ages 24-76 so it's not a stereotypical 'lads-on-tour' type stag-do.
I have been looking for a pub/bar with a bar billiards table in and have been recommended 'The Corner House Pub' in Headington.
Is this place ok?
We will also be going out into town on the sat eve, so again, if anyone knows of good bars and clubs, can you let me know.
Many thanks in advance,
Neil

There's the Carling Academy on Cowley Road (formerly the zodiac). Plenty of bars near there too, though it's quite studenty (dirty!). Usually good music though, two rooms. In the town centre there's a few good bars at the end of high st. Can't remember any of the names though (another sign of a good night!).
As for the stag do itself - if it's a nice day getting a few bottles of champagne and going punting is a surprisingly good laugh. Though you might look a bit metro-sexual punting another bloke round who's quaffing champagne (forget the little umbrellas).
