Helping out the Mrs....

she needs a Morris Dancing squad (or whatever you call them) for the 16th May, about 3pm, to do a demo in Harrow Middx. Can't pay much I'm afraid, expenses, cream teas and possibly beer if needed smile

This is for a big school event, so any chance of dragging in some of the Mums, Dads and kids would be great too.

Please PM me if you can help.

Thanks!

I never cease to be amazed at Pistonheads - a seemingly completely random enquiry, and 8 minutes later someone's along to name the OP's local morris group. bow

Neither of the groups seem to have made any bookings for this year though...

Then click on Border, Cotswold, North West etc for lists of names.

Cotswold is probably what you are thinking of - hankies or sticks - but any of the other would be as good.

The correct term is a Morris Side BTW, and , yes they do drink beer, what are you thinking of 'only PimMs'?!?

My experience of Morris Dancers (from working in a pub) is that they drink beer - lots of it too beer

We used to have a May Day Event (pub opened at 5am) and the Morris Dancers were on pints at that time of the morning, they then spent the weekend 'dancing' at events all round the county. It really is just an excuse to go 'on the lash' !

When you're next out shopping, buy a sarcasm detector.

How do you know he was being sarcastic? Didn't sound like it to me. I have known a few morris dancers and they are very much blokes' blokes - very heavy drinkers, brown beer yes
