535d service schedule
Discussion
hi all
just been to look at a 05/55 535d m sport with 44k. registered dec 05
car is up at £16.5k which i think i fairly reasonable?
computer said 14k until next service and i checked out the service booklet and it had 3 services
20k
33k
38k
forgot to check the dates, but the last service seemed very basic and is this not one service short?
just wondering what the next service would cost?
im not a bmw man, but i do know there are various types of service on these cars with VERY different prices.
could someone give me some info please?
cheers

It should say on the service indicator which one is due i.e inspection 1 or 2 or will be plain oil service. The intervals depend on loads of things but mainly is affected by how hard the car is driven.
If it has i-drive go into that and it will give you a break down of whats happening. Also ring the last dealer who stamped and they can check on their pc what's due and give you an idea of the fixed cost price.

The E60/61's iDrive service indicator is more complicated; it should should indciate miles/time to roughly the following events:
front brake pad change
rear brake pad change
oil change
pollen filter change
particulate filter change
annual inspection
exhaust emissions check (these last two are effectively the MOT)
You would need to find out which ones where done at which services but three scheduled visits sounds about right for that age and mileage.

I've just had mine serviced at 51K which was two years and 20K since its last service (!)
Service was a simple oil change plus brake fluid which was under £300 all-in from my local franchise.
If I ignore various electronic-related warranty items it has, so far, been very economic to run.

I have a 535D M Sport, and that sounds about right to me. Serving is in small bits and peices, rather than in large combined tasks. This makes it cheap, but you end up visiting the garage more often to tick the boxes.
