I'm about to pick up an old 330 Ci Sport so doing the rounds for insurance.
Most companies seem to be £250-300 except swiftcover.com - less than £200. Is this too good to be true? A few reviews on the comparison sites say they're buggers to deal with in the event of a claim but I'm never sure how to interpret that kind of anecdotal data.
Can anyone here confirm they're ok or like to pm me otherwise please?

Thanks.

FWIW no one sent me anything negative so I went with them. We'll see ... scratchchin

Sad replying to my own topic, but best to set the record straight just in case someone comes by and assumes I was sent negative PMs due to N&S rules.

im with swift cover the now and they are a complete set of bcensoredds they will do you a cheap quote but ive also heard they are pretty bad to deal with in the event of a claim. i phoned them last night as im about to have work done to my 3 series and they said they didnt do modifications which is fine but im fitting oe bmw parts (bumpers etc) not some 20 foot fibreglass mess to the front of my car. she said they would not insure alloy wheels the cost more than 1k so when i told her i was fitting bmw alloy wheels worth £500ish she said they wouldnt insure them as it was a modification confused im trying to find elsewhere to insure my car but the best quote i can get is £650 with all "mods" (mods being optional extras that could have been bought with the car when new) where as with them im paying £280 fully comp (22 year old with 3 years no claims on a p reg 318is coupe)

Just played this game myself having just purchased a 325 ragtop. Best price I got was from Privilege, but A-Plan seemed a good bunch that knew their stuff - but for me were £200 more <GULP>
