Aston Martin LMP Car Revealed

AMR did a shakedown on their LMP1 car at Paul Ricard today:

I just hope they can pull it off, would be nice to see something other than an Audi win Le Mans this year. and while I respect Peugeot for trying, I don't want them to win it as 1. I would prefer a British team to win and 2. the winning car should make lots of noise and be powered by petrol. Yes, diesel might be much more efficient and better than petrol in endurance racing, but half of the spectacle of motorsport is the noise and fire coming from the pipes.
And damn the car looks nice.

I can't see them being very close unless the Audis and Peugeots have major issues. I don't think anyone can compete with the development that is going into those two at the moment!

I wonder if Lola have a tub ready and if they do will they give it to Prodrive after the recent spat between them.

But anyway the car looks great in the Gulf colours.

Yes the rules are changed this year, but it's only a halfway point between the 2008 and 2011 regulations.

That said, Audi releasing a new car is going to be tough to beat.

That Aston looks stunning but unfortunately they won't get anywhere near the Diesel powered cars, I'm just hoping that Peugeot can win it this year and end the Audi dominance.

Air restrictor diameter reduced by 10%; lowered boost for turbo.

I still think diesels will leave others in their wake.

yep, irrespective of engine breaks the diesels are just so much better developed. The only thing i think could compete would be an evolution of the Dome, but they are not coming back
