3 weeks ago replaced fronts as out side edges scrubed out, rears looked fine on the face of it at the time. Saturday picked up a slow puncture on rear, when the fitters took the wheels off, even though there is plenty of tread, the inside edges were down to wire (even on fully inflated tyre) !!!!
Tyre pressure has always been checked every 6 weeks or so.
Can't see why they should have worn like this unless there was a fault with the car had from new (12months ago).
Anyone had the same experience??
Any suggestions
Kept the rears for evidence

Sounds to me like massive toe-out at the rear... I'd guess at either bent linkage (kerbing?) or incorrectly/never adjusted...

Look at the worn tyres (and after a few hundred miles, the new ones) and run your fingers backwards and forwards over the tread blocks. If they feel "smooth" in one direction and "sharp" in the other, it's likely they've been scrubbed across the road surface (effectively always travelling at a slight angle to the car's direction)

If they're evenly worn, maybe a camber issue (wheel leaning in).

Worth looking at getting the wheels laser-aligned - it's be interesting to see how far out they are.
