check the interior light timer relay, yellow or red one next to fuses, if it is warm change it, to double check you could unplug it and see if the problem goes away.

Hi i have a 3r and the same problem, battery won't hold a charge for more than a week, also my interior lights dont come on when the doors are opened, even if i adjust the settings, can only be switched on and off, but if the lights are on and the door is opened then the buzzer goes off so the door sensor must work? Is it the case that i probably have a fulty relay causing the lights not to come on and the battery to drain? THanks, allan

Easiest is to get a ammeter/multimeter, put between the battery positive and the main feed lead (note: do NOT attempt to start the car!) and then start pulling out fuses and relays one by one.

One of them will show a big drop in current. That's your suspect.

Alternatively, get a batter trickle charger and plug it in each time you park up smile

Was the same problem on mine, replaced the yellow relay and interior lights now wotk, but when i pull the fuse for stereo and int lights it still sparks, but not if i disconnect the stereo, and it still isnt great for keeping charge, getting a optima red top and extending the +ve for a trickle charger, any other ideas, thanks, allan
