Er, I’m fairly sure that this was not meant to happen.

I met the hot Spaniard on holiday (well, specifically in a taxi on the way to the airport, where we got so drunk that we missed our flight). Things happened over the weekend. I expected nothing more, planned never to call again, and then ran into her in the reception of my building (which was a bit of a shock, I can tell you). In the cold light of day, she still looked fantastic, so I accidentally asked her out. Since then, I have embarrassed her on e-mail, taken flowers over to say sorry, and now spent much of Saturday helping her to move house while the builders go into hers (which I did as part of my contrition thing, but it was actually nice to help out). And I am still highly attracted to both her looks and personality.

This sounds suspiciously like a relationship. I’m a little worried, if I’m to be quite honest. And bewildered – how did this happen?

Then this weekend I mentioned to her that I have a first date this week, when we were planning when we could see each other. Instead of the customary lack of care, I got a little moue of discontent. Nothing was said, no nagging, no demands to change my plans – but a definite communication that this maybe wasn’t acceptable behaviour. Which isn’t good – there’s no need to be jealous, as there is very little chance that I will actually sleep with this other woman on the first date (it’s not unfeasible obviously – but if it happens I certainly won’t be disclosing the fact)

This is a cautionary tale for you people. Once you have had sex with them, do not ever call them again. Ever. Especially if you actually find them attractive, bright and fun to be around.

yikes

I'd say youre too late.

In all seriousness though - you helped her move house and took her flowers. You've got it bad. And fair play to ya.

though starting the inevitable lady flashman diary this early in the relationship, doesnt bode well

Hmmm, it does all sound a little promising/disappointing (delete as appropriate to one's gender and/or willingness to hear further adventures of Sir Flashman).

What the hell - go for it. Maybe this monogamy* lark has something going for it. Do let me know, won't you?

I hate you.

It has been a scant 2 months since ex Lady Fa and I split. I'm simply not ready to like someone else for more than a couple of encounters. Which is unfortunate as it appears that I do.

Women are such snakes. Gah.

Last time I checked this was a forum on the Internet and there weren't any restrictions on where I can post or what I can read.

As for your "little fella" comment, dear Lord above.

Sorry, big chap.

Absolutely right - but it just seems a bit - pointless. You don't like my posts. But simply ignoring them would be perfectly fine too, don't you think?

Hmm, a cautionary tale or a post sneakily designed to seek opinion ?

Admit it, no man, not even Flashman, can escape the love tentacles of a woman, even your radar was tuned in to her feelings that she tried to hide from you. You know you want her!!

Are you questioning his logic? He's a manager you know. Says so on his profile.
