Thinking of stag do ideas for the late autumn for me, but looking for something that doesn't involve 'undressed ladies'.

Is this mad? Does it mean there are no locations in the world I can visit?
Does it mean my stag do has to held on Dartmoor in a tent?

Why no ladies? Not being judgemental, just curious.

Assuming, given your membership here, that you have access to a vehicle, then I'm happy to franchise my own plans which commence, for me, in May this year:

Several months ago C8PPO said:
I'm also getting married in May, and similarly, I have no desire to spend my stag night standing around testing who can neck the most shots before chucking.

Hence my plan. It involves a 4 day road trip over the early May Bank Hol weekend. Several of my mates are already on for this, in a variety of vehicles. Very loosely:

Day 1. Calais to Millau. Viaduct photo-opportunities, etc etc.

Day 2. Millau to Monaco. (Late) lunch at or near the casino. Onwards towards the Alps.

Day 3. An Alpine pass or two. Into Germany. Autobahn v-max runs. Head for the Ring. Overnight stop at the Pistenklause.

Day 4. Ring opening permitting, a few final celebratory laps, then head for the boat.

It's in the order of 2200 miles, so it's 500+ per day. We won't be getting on the pots to any great extent, apart perhaps from the night in Nurburg, but it should be an excellent trip.
All confirmed and booked now, with some detail changes to the route to accommodate various opening times/dates, etc. 5 vehicles at present, only one of which is not capable (on paper at least) of 175mph+

You know you want to.

Why not look out for any big dance events you can crash at with your friends.

Go to a casino for part of the evening, but preferably before everyone is too drunk

sporty out door thing - dogs/ horses/shooting/go karts/ golf (shudder) or paintball

Campfire/barb-q on a beach ?

Dinner in a proper steakhouse followed by cigars and some late night whiskey tasting in a shabby boozer ?

Sounds good to me, Mr C3PO. I'm in the same boat as not wanting vomiting, mindless alcohol abuse, strippers etc when I get married. (I'm quite partial to the chubbier laydee and I dread anyone ever getting me a roly-poly-gram or something on my birthday - I'd walk out). I just want a good night out with my mates, and I personally don't "get" the strippers/lap dancing thing - christ, those girls must think the blokes are the saddest fks in existence frown.

Your roadtrip sounds cool.

You know they come in smaller sizes too? Less chance of sustaining damage. smile

Cheers Orb. Was talking to someone about the whole lap/pole dancing etc thing only yesterday, and we concurred with you completely.

Funnily enough, I thought that if I ever have a stag, I would like this sort of thing too. I get enough of strip bars just going out through work, and the standard go to former eastern bloc country and blow stuff us thing has got a little old now. Skiing fun, but we I tend to go skiing anyway, so not much point for a stag.

Depending on the time of year, I always thought that some rented Land Rovers would be great. Green-laning in the day, camping, barbecuing and getting drunk at night. Magic. Probably need to hire instructors for the weekend (otherwise you’d spend the entire weekend getting stuck)

Had a great stag do with these guys a couple of weekends ago:

Best man oranised the whole thing and didn't tell anyone else what it was, just to bring a sleeping bag and walking boots to a location in Brecon. May not appeal to everyone but if you're all outdoors types who enjoy shooting people and having mock battles, then you'll have a weekend to remember smile
