Just gave my 325 a service thought I should, its been locked up in the garage most of the winter just out now and then for a spin noticed lack in power, plenty of rev's but not really getting anywhere.I noticed at very slow speeds, when you go round a corner just touch the gas slightly and theres a whistling coming from the engine, so gave it service, plugs, changed the oil, flushed the engine, oil filter, air filter but it is still lacking power read somewhere that it could be a hole in the vacuum hose at the throttle body. Could this cause a big drop in power, find it hard to believe.

A big hole would be required to cause a major power loss. How smoothly does car idle? Does it surge or stumble under load or constant throttle?

I took the vacuum hose off and its OK, no holes the car idles fine its when you put your foot down seems to rev well but hasn't got the same power. Power isn't a steady climb some flat spots at the start I'm going to change the fuel filter tomorrow thats been neglected for about, I'm ashamed to say about 25000 miles maybe more but all other things i do regularly.
