Just got an email from a mate asking me to test my cod5 on xbox. His and his bros wont work. SO I have checked and mine doesnt work either. Disk unreadable apparently... We all have the same problem. Pissed off isnt the word!

It must be their servers, I can load the game up if i disconnect from live, but if i connect whilst the game is running it gives a disk read error and boots me to the dashboard! I'm not a happy chappy!

So are you saying all the COD5 servers are down?
Well half my mates are playing it right now.
Normally "Disk Unreadable" means it is try to access a scratched areas of the disk (which maybe the online part of the game need to read?).
So why not try cleaning the disk or polishing the bottom with a fine polish. You'd be surprised how many people cant clean a CD/DVD properly.

tried to use my cod5 today aswell, managed to get to main screen, selected multiplayer and it shat itself, saying it was unreadable.

Happened to me and a mate of mine of live, it was alright once we ripped the game to the HDD.

But shocking..... why is it happening?

Clean the laser every now and then too - Xbox has been OK, but the wii often doesn't read discs if the slightest bit of dust is in there.
