need to pick your brains chaps, I`m in the process of having my airboxes modified so that they fit in the confines of the griffith engine bay, andf have noticed a small pipe protruding from the back face of the passenger side box, what connects to it?
I was wondering if there is a balance pipe between the two boxes, but cant see a corrsponding pipe on the other side, but I think the balance pipe is actually on the inlet bodies themselves.

any ideas appreciated.

Connects to the MAP/Barometric pressure sensor.

Theres one on each air box.

The passenger side exits at the rear as you know, the other attaches to the drviers side air box via the crankcase breather connection.

As you say, depending on the which ECU you are using you may not need them...not sure what the ECU adjusts with the air pressure reading...? I assume the faster you go the higher the air pressure...temperature may also affect the pressure...?

Good luck

I will be running on an emerald ecu, and have also decided to use an oil catch tank mounted on the timing cover, my main reason for doing this is that as my manifolds have to run forwards and will be making equal length headers, I`ll need all of the space that I can get, and the oil breather in the airbox hangs down buy about 60mm, so thats a lot of room to gain when looking to run 4 pipes underneath.
