Just bought a focusTDCi (best place for parts?)
Discussion
Just bought a Focus TDCi. Looked at about 8 cars this weekend, it's amazing how some traders think they will ever sell cars.
Decided to get a dark green 52 plate 1.8tdci. It's in great condition.
Had a good look round all seems ok, It didn't start first time and im guessing becasue the battery was a tad flat (it turned over quite slow). Second attempt fired up in seconds. Engine was stone cold and there was no sigh of smoke. dealer drove it off his forecourt and I noticed a little smoke (white) after about 20 seconds. He reckoned it was condensation and to be fair it was very cold, once I drove it a few seconds smoke was gone never to be seen again. engine pulled very well. back at his place I asked him to rev it quite hard and again no smoke.
Did a HPI all ok so gave him a deposit and picking it up next week.
Were do you Ford chaps get spares from apart from dealers? I use Euro car parts for my 5 series and they are fairly good value but they dont seem to list Ford on their website. I plan on checking and replacing all the engive Vaccuam hoses when I get the car and possibly replacing the battery.
Thanks
Oh and its got 108K miles and I paid £2495. Im not to fussed about milage I tend to go more for condition...

Mail them if you're after something specific - pretty helpful in the past for me.
