Been clearing out the loft and came across some pics that I took in the mid 90's at Goodwood. Some are at the Festival of Speed and the rest are at one of the Carrera Sport trackdays smile

Cool story thumbup

I followed this Bugatti and a Venturi 400GT back from Goodwood a few hours after taking this pic. Stuck with them until the A3 where they suddenly disappeared into the distance biggrin

Fascinating shots - really weird to see Goodwood before they made all the revisions. I remember the McLaren display well, I have some photos of it somewhere at my parents' place. Sometimes you don't realise how special what you are seeing is until some years later...

The hills above Maranello September 2001.

I'm in a crappy Fiat Punto hire car parked up by the side of the road, admiring the view. Thunder approuchs from the distance, when into view comes one of these EB110's giving it plenty. biggrin

Earlier that day we were parked up in a lay-by on the Autostada between Modena Nord and Modena Sud when again, thunder approuches. In the outside lane was a red F40, nearside lane was empty, then me stood outside the car in the lay-by. That thing must have been near flat out, and as it passed the shockwave really knocked me back biggrin

Fast forward to early November 2006, again Maranello. Up in the hills after dinner, me and a mate in a little Fiesta Hire car trying to chase down Jean Todts black Enzo as the guys from the factory took it up there for a shakedown. biggrin

Great pics by the way thumbup
Next time you go on holiday, be sure to give me a shout smile

Well there ya gothumbup never saw it at the Brekkie club last year. Until I saw the car last week I hadn't seen that plate since I took the photo of it on the 911 smile

That's Mike Pullens' Series 1 LP400S ... that bit harder than the Series 2 as it was never built for California regulations ... a couple of inches lower, far noisier, much more power than the Series 2 (see California regulations for all that 'less-ness'...) if a bit 'brown' in the case of Mike's car and with a 'step away from the car' warning voice as well.

and as you say mr brightside, yes indeed, me too, I want as well, yes... smile

A guy emailed me asking if I had anymore pics of the black SE30, but I don't, he reckoned it was up for sale until recently in South Wales.

I'm pretty sure that the black SE30 was written off in a fatal crash.

Do you know if it was written off? I believe, depending on what state a car has been classed as written off, that it can be rebuilt. Put it this way, the car pictured in Knight's photos was definitely in South Wales although it had a private plate on it. I don't know where it is now.

Here's a link to the ad for the black SE30 that was for sale in late 2008.

What I love about these pics is how right the cars look when seen "contemporarily".
