Had a quick search for this but couldn't find the answer so......

A guy at work has just picked up a 2.2 Z4 which is going to need the tyres changing shortly. He seems fairly keen on keeping the run flats but was asking if some brands of run flats were softer than others (I think his car is on 17's).

I have bridgestones on my Z4C and the car is very stiff but that might just be because of the combination of hard top and M-Sport pack.

As anyone got any run flat or non-run flat recommendations for the Z4.

Thanks

The Michelin Pilot Sport ZP tyre seems to be the choice of runflats on the Z4-Fourm.

Falkens are popular but I'm happy with the Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics I put on my 18s. I used Cont Sportcontact2s on my 120d's 17s which were a great improvement (with an extra 0.2bar) but then anything would have been better.

Those aren't runflats are they?

Sorry, no, they're not. The Bridgestone rfts on the Z4 were'nt great, but the Pirelli Euforias on the 120d had a frightening lack of grip imo.

I put Goodyear F1 tyres on my Z4 and it became a much better ride and blatantly had more grip!
