Yesterday I had all of my toiletries confiscated at heathrow because my plastic see through bag "wasn't the correct size"
Nobody could tell me how a different sized see through bag was a terrorist threat but it didn't stop them binning all my stuff.

The trick is not to declare toiletries - they never spot mine...

Always amazes me how you can go through all of the security checks, then buy bottles of wine and beer in the shops and bars in the departure lounge. If I wanted a weapon, I'd be going for the broken wine bottle over the tennis raquet or tube of toothpaste, every time.
Too right, if some bloke attacked me with a semillon I'd do whatever they said for fear of making them properly angry.Edited by DrTre on Tuesday 10th March 15:39

Bah....Being a tennis player is adequate justification for chucking him off...

They always spot mine. Something to do with me being searched every frickin time.Had a 120ml deodorant can confiscated last time. Not sure how that's a particularly dangerous item, perhaps airport security just don't like smelling nice?

I had my 250ml bottle of mouthwash confiscated even though it clearly contained only around 50ml of actual fluid.
Sadly, this sort of airport bo***** seems normal these days.
The whole 100ml concept is that it takes more than 100ml of these mixed liquids to make a bomb.Sadly, this sort of airport bo***** seems normal these days.
Yet you can buy large bottles once through security.

And if you really wanted to to blow a plane up, you wouldn't go through security anyway...
I once forgot a tube of tooth paste inside my carry on bag, that wasn't inside a see-through plastic bag.
Carry on bag got searched and there was a big 'to do' about the tooth paste not in a see-through baggy. I had to buy bags from a machine. Again a quid for two. So the toothpaste goes inside a placcy bag, and through the xray machine again ?!
Yes, my good man - now it's terrorist free toothpaste.
Bunch of jobs worth

Er...yeah, but not of the liquids that actually comprise the components of the bomb...the bombs aren't made by mixing Timotei and E45 moisturising lotion.
