I have mentioned before that my car has on the odd occasion had terrible wind! by that I mean when travelling at speed or when driving through cross winds The car shrieks around the passenger side door/ windscreen area.
In the past I have removed the door card and door mirror on two ocassions looking for any area that might have a panel gap or faulty seal.
On Monday I was driving from Cleveland to Monkfish and the wind was blowing across the M1 and buffeting the car around. I was then subjected to wind noise from both the passenger and driver side. The good thing was I remembered reading somewhere on this forum about the poor fitting of the windscreen.
When I checked under the front screen rubber I saw that on both sides the glass bonding was coming away or had been poorly applied.
I went to my local dealer and explained the problem and likely cause, they checked with V/hall for a warranty clain and guess what no chance...
The thing is I think I can fix the problem with some windscreen sealant, but since I have bought a specialist car and it is still under warranty I feel they could have at least (as a good customer relations deal) sorted it out for a few pence worth of sealant.. would I care if V/hall went bust...well not really.

If the windscreen is coming away from the body dont be tempted to just seal it with some sealant as the windscreen of a modern car adds to the strength of the whole bodyshell, also airbag deployment.
get the screen removed and refitted properly or put a hammer through it and get it done on your insurance

Wot he said ^^
It was my oe screen that was basically only held in place by the weather seals, absolutely shocking and negligent build quality & factory qa - the topic link isn't working or I'd post it up
It's the one reason that I doubt I'll ever buy another Australian built car again.
