about 600 local troops are back home.. They put on a parade and marched down into the town centre... And what a great welcome they got......

Police had to hold back about 12 or so protesters charnting English army is a terorist Army.... Which did not go down well at all.... Especially as there were Ex service men and women in the croud.... Didn't come to anything which was good..

Guess thats why there was snipers on the roof tops.

Yes, why can't they send the protestors to iraq instead? These people have no rights to live in the UK as far as I'm concerned. They can sod off and go live in a muslim country.

Dont let 12 protesters tar all muslum's with the same brush. We have Irish taking Irish out in Ireland, Brit killing Brit throughout the country, any difference?

The protesters were probably born and bread in the UK, they have their beliefs, and have a right to protest if they want to.

Lets not turn this thread into a witch hunt.

I'm ashamed to say.. The local troops came back home here too.. Did the march etc, and the streets were empty.

I'd have been there, just didn't know anything about it until it was in the paper saying how bad the turn out was.

Terrible on both accounts, one town, no one even bothers to turn out, the other one we have 12 protest.

There will be a bigger turn out when the bury Jade Goody........
