A couple of houses lost their electricity power last Wednesday, EON came out and identified that the the fault was underground so proceeded to dig up the road, fair enough.

HOWEVER, they fixed the fault last Thursday morning, yet 6 days later the road still has a whole runing the width of the road meaning the road is closed for through traffic. This has also meant the bins haven't been emptied either!

How fking hard can it be to get some blokes to fill a whole with a bit of tarmac!!!!

EDF did the same to us one Christmas. They managed to block our garage with rubble the day before we were going away! Muppets.

This is a bit of a bugbear of mine at the moment too.

Near to where I live the good ol' utility companies have been out putting pipes into the ground etc. Every piece of tarmac that they dig up is never ever replaced properly! It really p***es me off.

Our road past our house was resurfaced last year and it was an ok job actually. Within a week though the utility companies had been in and cut ridges into the road. Cue a large bump as the tarmac they put back in had sunk into the ridge.

I also find that they do the same when they cut holes into the road to get to pipes etc. They always leave it a mess and its never ever smooth anymore.

They cut a hole a few months ago on a Friday afternoon. Left the section of the road closed off all weekend because they couldn't be arsed to fill it in. when they did get round to doing this (the following Weds I think) they only filled it about halfway! It was terrible!!

They are nothing but completely incompetent wkers!

You should see their attempt at resurfacing a whole section of road. It is now worse than the road they replaced and its only been down a year!
