Hi,

I'm sure some of you know but they have been going for a little while now behind the scenes but this Justin Hawkin's band after leaving The Darkness.

Has anyone listened to them, seen them live or have their new album? Their stuff on myspace sounds great!

I am making a concerted effort to avoid these at all costs. Anything to do with that Hawkins chap, and by default linked with The Darkness, is something to stay clear of IMHO.

I just never really liked The Darkness at all. Found them to be well overhyped and just not very good. Much better similiar stuff out there in the annals of rock history.

I saw them support Alter Bridge last year. Both bands were st, but admittedly I haven't heard HL's album so it could just have been a bad gig.

FWIW, I was/am a fan of the Darkness

Haven't heard any Hot Leg stuff, but can't stand Justin Hawkins anyway. However, the other Darkness spin-off band, Stone Gods, are actually pretty good (especially live).

I think I heard their new track on TV the other day. I quite liked it but mostly because I knew there'd be a guitar solo at some point in the track. I probably wouldn't buy the album.

I went to see the Darkness play a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, although I did get stuck in at the bar beforehand so they could have played terribly and I'd not have noticed. smile I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
