I think you mean Brembo and Willwood conversion.

I've not done it, but a friend fitted Willwood to is 450 Chim and I think he had to have bigger front wheels. 16" is the min I think.

I sourced a Brembo upgrade from Ian at Godspeed Motorsport, it took rather a long time to arrive to the extent it went to a friend for his Chimaera instead. That said it was good value - in the region of £650 from memory for two new four pot calipers, new discs, pads, braided hoses and mounting brackets.

You will need 16" wheels for the Wilwood brake upgrade. Worth it though!

I am in the process of fitting a brake upgrade to the front brakes on my griff, and after looking at the kits available and being put off by the prices being asked I decided to do a bit of research.

so I now have APracing 4 pot calipers from a cerbera, 284mm discs from a sierra cosworth rwd, and have made the plates that bolt the calipers to the hub, and the bonus is that they fit under the 15" wheels.

the calipers I bought secondhand for £200, a pair of braided hoses £50,a new set of pads £98, cnc machined mounting plates £60, and discs £30 each, so for about £470 you could have a decent brake upgrade, without the expense of going to 16" wheels and tyres, (although I did buy a set in anticipation of the calipers not fitting in the 15" wheel).

I was looking at buying bells and rotors, with a 300mm rotor/disc, but the price for a pair of these is in the region of £400, without the calipers, so when your discs wear out you could be looking to forkout £200 plus for a pair of discs, whereas the cosworth rwd discs are only 16mm smaller on the diameter, but, and its a big but, £140 per pair cheaper!plus the cosworth discs are available from any motor factors.

I will have this finished this weekend and will put up some pics, I can supply a drawing for the mounting plates if anyone wants to go down the same route.

I have had some mounting brackets made to allow 4 pot Brembo calipers and 324mm discs from a Focus RS to be fitted to a Griff.

The snag is that they may not fit under 16" rims, however they definitely fit under 17".

HI Stuart

Shame I didn’t know you were interested in this at the last meeting. I had some catalogues with me at the pub, but I think you had gone outside when the subject came up. I’m looking doing this too.

For Willwood the best price I have found is Here.

Another possibility is Here. I have done some haggling with this lot. It may be that you can do better as you are in the trade.

there is an ebay shop selling wilwood calipers, if you want to source your own discs and mounting plates, could save a few £`s.

Fester... Could you bring them to next meeting please.. Was trying to get grooved & drilled Front discs & brembo caliper.
Dont like the look of all these brackets & other bits bolted on,, Its all more to break up on load..
Also looking at putting GOLD gaz struts & spring on it... Not got anything wrong with whats on car now but want to but some mark on the car of my own,, As the owner from new has kept it bog standard & only coved 30.000 .....Have a chat next meeting if we decide on same conversion i can get a better deal on 2 sets rather than one...
