A couple of months ago I bothered the forum with lots of questions about speed 6's driveability of all cerb models etc etc, to some of the members irritation (still blows my mind)..... The best piece of advice I got was to just go out there and test drive.....

So I wanted a black on black S6 initially........ It's become a 99 dark blue on black 4.2 (saved from going overseas...)... What can I say. I have nothing bad to say about the S6, nothing really, what surprised me though was the driveability of the 4.2. Nothing as bad or difficult as I had imagined. With that in mind and a couple of test dives in 4.2's to find the one I liked it was a no-brainer really. I'm about to pick it up (thursday), just fresh from a 12k service, decat silenced pipes, new dampers, wheel alignment, remap, so I am VERY excited to take it out.....

thx for all the help!

Wiebe

Try a 4.5. So much rubbish talked about one being driveable and the other not.

Weren't they all 4.5's really, just with other inlets? That is from a certain moment (98'ish)? Well even its a regular 4.2 I am not fussed. As I was looking for an all original car with no intend to tune it it would not have made a difference 4.2 or 4.5...... I am very pleased as it is, the looks, the sound, the ride

cheers

Nice one!! I was one who read your initial threads, as I too was considering a SP6, but ended up buying a 4.2. Love it!
