Hi guys,

My insurance is up for renewal and I received a letter from my current insurer (Lloyds TSB) saying that due to policy changes they can no longer insure me on my T350 due to my age. I am currently 24 and it seems a lot of insurers have changed their policies so that you must be 25.

I am going to try haggerty tomorrow morning but I am sure they told me last year I needed to be 25. Does anybody have any others I can try? I have tried all the usual suspects, most wont even quote me or come back with ridiculous quotes. I was paying around £1,400 last year with mileage of around 14k and social and commuting. This year the car is going to be used as a second car with mileage < 4k. My NCB will maintain on the T350 to get the lowest quote possible.

Cheers for any help

MSM or A-plan get my vote.
I'm fairly sure Hagerty are now over 30s only.

There is a wiki on insurance under the General TVR Stuff & Gossip section....that maybe a starting point?

Try A plan. They came with some good quotes for me a while back.
I'ts a bit of a stter with Hagerty now being over 30's. I've been with them for a couple of years (since I was 26)....I'm sure I read somewhere on this forum that thay still let new customers (under the age of 30) onboard if your really really nice to them on the phone, know the secret handshake and beg to the point of submission.

I'd still give them a call. I do believe Hagerty staff do read and post on these forums so you might be able to dig something up.

I was sure insurance companies had a legal duty to quote on renewal?? That said, if they dontg want the business, they would just provide a stupid quote. (Car insurance for exotica - its about the only down side of being young....I seem to recall!!
