I have a 2001 320 E46 and have recently bought a Tom Tom 730 sat nav. However, I am finding it difficult to find a flat enough area on the windscreen to secure the suction pad.
Has anyone had a similar problem and can suggest the best place, or perhaps an alternative method to support the console?

Any help would be appreciated.

I fit mine to the right hand side of the screen as low as possible and have had no problems.

Have a look at Brodit mounts as well.

Thanks to everyone for your replies and in particular for the links. I think I shall go with the Brodit centre vent holder. biggrin

Update

Bought 2 Brodit products, a vent fixing and a swivel bracket for my sat nav, they are brilliant.

I searched the Internet and found....www.incargear.com/categories.asp?cat=11000, there service is first class, I ordered yesterday morning, delivered today, very pleased. They are also offering good discounts and free delivery at the moment. Thanks for your help guys biggrin
