I've been following a thread on the Ultima forum and have been in contact with someone who says he can offer carbon fibre & CF/fibreglass mix parts at good prices.

Some of his contacts work is shown in this thread:

I'm thinking boot, bonnet & wing may be of interest to some in saving weight, or are these already available?

Almost ironis coming from a SE AC owner however with a wedge bonnet being larger than an Elise roof I'm not so sure that many would pay £2,000 http://www.reverie.ltd.uk/Downloads/s1elise_retail...

Apart from the bling factor, I would have thought thinner fibreglass panels would be much more cost effective.

I don't know if they are the same on all wedges, but the bonnet, boot and doors are massively thick on my 390.

The 400SE bonnet is very thick also.
My whole light weight front end, inc bonnect wings etc on the racer weighs less, than the 400SE bonnet, and that's in GF

JR,

My car's one of the F/G cars though I do have the wavy panel option biggrin

Reverie is expensive.

I think this was pointed out in one of the posts.

This fella can get CF panels at FG prices and, as you know they are even lighter than FG, far stronger, especially if mixed with some kevlar.

You can then fit the leccy window motors!

I have a friend with a De Tomaso Pantera who is going mad panel by panel trying to reduce the 3500lb weight with CF. All custom stuff at stupid money - but he has plenty.

Ali has it's own problems (including different metals!) I think CF is the flavour of the month what with that nice looking weave and the weight of a fag packet cool

I saw your SEAC down at Barnet today T-man. Had a little shufty as it's unusual to see (another) SEAC down there.

Phil mentioned you were considering lots of work/resto? Nice chaps down there and very good at what they do.

I popped down there today to have something checked on my wedge.

I told them it was you who recommended them so make sure you negotiate a fat discount of your next service smile

I'm sure you noticed it needs some TLC to bring the old girl up to par but she's basically together and in good shape.

Sometime if it's not asking too much I'd like to pop up to Stevenage and get you to take me round the block to gauge the ride quality on a 'sorted' SEAC.

I've backed off my adjustable suspension since it's track day days with the previous owner but it shakes around like a goodun when I hit any undulations in the road.

Maybe it's just bushes and a few hundred other components that need replacing after 20 years of life

I've just booked mine in for an MOT plus a few issues i need sorting, so maybe i should mention the discount? scratchchinwink

You're welcome to come and have a look/spin in mine, no problem. I can't guarantee mine rides any better mind. I was out with 50+ other TVR nuts today for a drive out, and the pace was 'adequate'hehe and i became aware that when pushed things got a little 'squirrelly'. I have adjustable Avo's but maybe they need a re-build...
Scuttle shake is usually par the course with any wedge.

Regardless of it's current issues Phil...you own a SEAC! biggrin
