Why does bad spelling annoy me??

Now i wouldnt buy that car, purely as i would know that every time i opened the bonnet i would have to read that stupid "plaque" where some moneky has spelt timing... "timming"

Does anyone else get annoyed by this?

oh god, shoot me NOW..... i wont edit that on principle that i im going home from work, i've had enough.

although in my defence, slipping a key on a keyboard is slightly different to writing a plaque on a customers car...

Transposing characters on a keyboard is easy, so is hitting a key twice, but not when writing by hand. I also note they almost spelt 'again' wrong

Perhaps because it shows a substantial deterioration in the education of the public in the use of their own language? I have German friends who speak and write better English than many of my English friends.
