How hard is it to change the battery on one of these cars? What's the proceedure? Bear in mind I'm a spanner spaz with the patience of a two year old, so no hard words...

Undoo battery clamp bolt, undo terminal clamps and tie back outta the way, lift battery out, lift new battery in and repeat in reverse order. No problem.

Undo the negative (grounded) terminal first when removing and connect last when fitting. That way when you do the positive having the negative already disconnected means clipping grounded metalwork with the spanner won't cause fireworks.

Okay thanks. The thing is I looked at it yesterday and I can't see any battery clamp. Where should I be looking for this?

at the bottom of the battery towards the front of the car.

look down the gab between the headlight and the battery and you will see a bolt (cant remember its size). undo the bolt all the way and it will release a bit of plastic. this is the clamp.

hope thus helps

1/2" i recall
You'll need a wrench extension, but thats about all. pretty easy really - i guess you've not had to change a headlamp bulb yet then...?
