Its about the two threads you just locked. I'm not going to say "freedom of speech" and all that bks, but you made a comment:

"sorry to all the decent posters" or some such line.

Why not sanction the idiots than destroy a perfectly good thread thats going bad? Isn't that the job of the moderators? Remove posts and sinbin people etc? Locking a thread because of a small number of people calling each names just seems like an easy way out.

If there is something that is said that is unpalatable, why not get a mod to delete and leave a warning? At least you would leave a visible line in the sand as a warning for other posters not to cross and that PH does have standards. We are told that the mods do a good job, but where are they on those threads?

You know what, I couldn't care less this evening. If my involvement with PH means that I'm associated with you then this isn't the PH I love or know.

As I said earlier, this is Website Feedback and not P&P. You want a knock around - keep it in there. Try and get some perspective at least.
