VXR8 Cycle carrier?

Does anyone know which brand of carrier fits and works nicely?

Im after one for a Welsh excursion next month. Was going to try halfords, but the fitment of course is not listed for the vxr8.

I think you need an angle grinder to fit it in the boot, then a portable mig welder the other end to put it together again.........................sorry.!!very helpfull


Any good quality boot mounted carrier should work..............but you may have to take the spoiler off!!

As an aside, does the VXR8 not have split fold rear seats...? you could take the wheels off and put it in the boot then.

Why don't you rent your bikes locally? If its not a trail type place they might to do cheap delivery for you to your required destination....just a thought?

ETA or do you think there might be a super charge involved - wouldn't want you to be pressurised into being forced to pay over the odds when your aspirations are just normal....

check your insurance, I had a policy that excluded roof carriers but allowed boot and towball carriers. Ofcourse I found this out driving into an undercover car park which ripped the bike from the roof, bike survived but commodore roof was a mess

i have seen audis and vws with the rack which sticks onto the roof like a german ski rack

Can you get those tow bar mounted ones? Of course you would have to put a tow bar on your VXR8!
